Drive Motor Retail names Emily Mead of Rygor as head of marketing


Drive Motor Retail has appointed Emily Mead, Marketing Manager for the Rygor Mercedes-Benz Group, as the new Marketing Manager.

Mead’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Adam Swift of Pendragon as the Expansion Project Manager. Leicester based AM100 car retailer.

Drive expanded its previously Vauxhall-dominated franchise portfolio with the addition of three new MG Motor UK dealerships in Leicester, Bristol and Darlington in May.

The move followed the opening of a Citroën franchise in Stockton in February, to take its first step in expanding with new brands in February.

Mead joins Drive after six years at Rygor and Drive co-managing director Rob Keenan said: “Emily brings considerable knowledge and unique experience in her field, as well as a new vision for our company.

“2021 has been a really exciting year for us so far. We have opened four new dealerships, our existing sites are hiring and growing, and we are introducing new systems to improve our internal processes.

“This is a great time to bring someone like Emily on board, giving strategic direction to the marketing side of our business.

“We are very happy to welcome her and we can’t wait for her to be an integral part of the team. “

Drive said in a statement that Mead will continue to strengthen the group’s profile in the local areas of its 18 concession sites.

His role will be to lead Drive’s marketing and communications strategy and improve the customer experience, especially online, in order to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
